sea salt experiment

we boiled some sea salt for a friend the other day.  He uses it in his photography.  this was a lot of fun for the girls to see the beginning and end results! pretty crazy the salt we got after boiling water for a couple of hours.  if you try it out, make sure you get enough salt water, be ready to boil it for a good couple of hours, and make sure you take it off the heat before the water is completely done.  it should feel like wet sand. you can just set it aside and the rest of the water will evaporate on its on.
I think if you get good enough ocean water, clean, maybe water from a bit out from the shore, you could actually use the sea salt!
